2013...the beginning!

We are enjoying Grandma Barry this winter again. Jill and Anna came to stay with her so we took advantage of the time together and headed to The Cheesecake Factory!!!

Charlee and Oaklee competed in the State Cheer leading competition and took first place!!! (This is blurry, but it is the best I got!) Scottee is their coach!

The whole family celebrated my 58th birthday at Fudruckers. I was honored that everyone would come!

I am so glad they all could come to cheer us up!
Here is Nancy reading "Fancy Nancy" to Oaklee and Jaxson.
Our Young Women group walked 22 miles on February 9th as the culmination of a program that began last September. Four challenges were given to help us all be more ready and worthy to go to the temple...read the Book of Mormon in it's entirety in four months, save money and donate to the Temple Patron Fund, subtract or add a habit that helps us be worthy of the temple and walk this 22 miles. The LDS Church has a 20 minute video showing Brother Moyle, our ancestor, walking from Alpine, Utah to the Salt Lake temple, (22 miles) each Monday at 2:00 A.M. and coming home late Friday night in order to do his farming and everything else he needed to do. He did it for over 20 years even though in the midst of those years, his leg had to be amputated at the knee because his cow kicked him and severely broke it. He made himself a peg leg and continued his service. (Only a Stone Cutter is the name of the video. I highly recommend watching it with your families.) The last half mile of our walk we walked in silence to help us ponder upon the temple. The families of the YW had gathered at the temple and were waving flags in support of their girls. It choked me up! The whole project inspired me! After the hike we each wrote a letter to President Monson telling of our experience. I am grateful beyond words to have had this experience with the young women and especially Brooklynn. She walked the whole way! The top picture is before the walk and the bottom is at our Phoenix Temple afterwards.

Jaxson and I went to Toys R Us for his 7th birthday. He chose to buy Pokemon cards with his birthday money! We then went to Johnny Rockets with Grandpa.

Sam was so patient!

I'm so proud of these guys!
