Moab pictures

We hiked all over these smooth rocks and got some beautiful pictures. This is a world famous place called Slick Rock where bikers and hikers try to show their stuff!

I'll bet NO ONE ever took a baby in a stroller on a hike at Slick Rock until Susie Lundberg came along. Nothing stops that woman! She is macho!

Here is Monument Valley. It is worth the drive to see it!

Monticello, Utah Temple.

In the field behind the Monticello Temple was a herd of deer!

Milt's Drive-in had the absolute BEST food we have had in a long time! We ate there every chance we got, which was only twice...but, oh so yummy!

John and Susie Lundberg with Monroe, their grand daughter.

We passed by this gorgeous sight and just had to get out of the warm car and into the rain to take pictures.

John and John taking their morning walk.

Susie's stained glass picture with the early morning sun showing through it.

This is the view from the Lundberg's cabin. Moab Rim and Castle Valley beyond it.

I captured a rainbow on our way through Monument Valley.

Mexican Hat formation.

Behind us you see Indian Petroglyphs! This was after the hike to Delicate Arch and boy, was it hot and tiring!

I can't believe we were there!

Susie and I climbed that steep hill in order to see through this small arch to a beautiful view of the Delicate Arch and the valley.

This is the museum at Delicate Arch.

Dead Horse Point

John Lundberg took us on a white knuckle ride through the mountain dirt roads with deep ruts at top speed to get us to Castle Valley overlook so we could see the sun set there. I had my eyes squeezed shut so scared was I! Then when we got there John L. made us climb onto a rock that jutted out over a sheer drop off in order to get the maximum view. I have to admit, it was worth it!

My favorite picture of Castle Valley.

On the way home, we stopped in Bluff, AZ to see a site where some of the pioneers were called to settle after going over the most rugged terrain of any expedition. It is known as the Hole in the Rock expedition and is incredible to read and see what those faithful people went through.

The sweet little church at Bluff.

This is one of the original wagons that came across the Hole in the Rock expedition.

Bluff hogan. It was so cool inside even though it was hot outside.
