My mom

My wonderful mom is going to celebrate her birthday next week. She is such an up-beat, caring person who has sacrificed so much for me. She is always trying to serve others and the love she carries with her envelopes everyone! I love you mom! Happy 'Plentysecond' Birthday!

Mindy

Our daughter Mindy will be 27 years old on March 25th. She is and always has been a dream-daughter. I consider her one of my choicest blessings and feel privileged to have been allowed to raise her. Here she is when she was three months old. She's always been a good-natured girl! At five years old, she and Rich (6 years and her best friend) were the flower girl and ring bearer in their cousin's wedding. Now she is the sweet mommy of adorable Ashlyn. (15 months) Mindy and Ryan have been happily married (mostly!) for five years.

Happy Birthday Mindy!

Dress-ups at GoGo's

Playing dress-ups is one of the favorite activities that all of grandchildren do at our house.

Brooklynn even got into the fun by wearing one of my old formals from high school. Gotta love the wig!

Bountiful Basket

This is what we got in our Bountiful Basket last Saturday. Such a deal for just $15.00! Pears, apples, bananas, pinapple, tomatos, lettuce, apples, cantalope, onions, celery, strawberries! You can sign-up every other week at Bountiful Baskets.com and select a location that is closest to you. Be sure and take a box to transfer your produce home in.

A giant step forward

John's three hour surgery is over! This picture was taken just before we left the Mayo Clinic yesterday. He has a fake smile, but at least he tried! Recovery is projected to be six weeks, but John will never sit still for that! He has already gotten dressed today and been out walking. He hurts, but he's a trooper! We'll find out next week if all the cancer has been removed. I'll keep you 'posted'!
